Using the presence and the action of water as a living archive, the artist listens, writes, and acts from the point of view of this ancient well, which asks us to reintegrate ourselves as collective and liquid bodies. llamado/acción fértil is a work of documentary poetics exploring the micro-geography of a natural well made of volcanic rock located in La Candelaria in Santa Cruz, Mexico City.
The poem-performance records the traces of voices, human and non-human, inhabiting the time of ecological memory, while at the same time, exploring the specificities of its mythologies and local politics to create a call for action. From this point of view, the fluid state of water situated in this micro-geography archives Mexico City's political, colonial, mythological and contemporary memory, where these crises stagnate, dry, erode and flow to discharge, possibly, into a new process of readaptation, fertility and healing.
